Pablo's Reunion

Pablo was lost on a Sunday afternoon. Immediately, my fiancée took to searching and called in family members too. We knew that we wouldn't be able to reach anyone on a Sunday evening so we began placing calls to all of the agencies we could think of and leaving messages.

We called the animal emergency clinic in case anyone brought him in due to injury and we could be notified. We reported him lost with the HomeAgain Lost Pet Hotline and used the HomeAgain site to create the Lost Pet posters.

Beginning Monday, calls were placed to all shelters, local vets, boarding kennels, local groomer and pet supply stores. We made copies of the HomeAgain Lost Pet posters and posted them in every local storefront (we are so lucky that our town is super animal friendly). Both HomeAgain's number and our number was on the flier.

Our town has a large population of dog owners who walk their dogs around the town so we handed a copy of the Lost Pet poster to all the people we talked to. We even gave posters to the mail lady- and that is when our first lead broke.

Pablo had been seen not too far from our home. We began searching extensively in that area. We knocked door-to-door and gave posters to the people. We virtually had the whole neighborhood and town helping us look. We searched everyday while walking our other dogs. Then during a break in our search, a call came in that someone had Pablo.

They encouraged him to come to them, and he did. We drove over and picked up our dog. Pablo was home! I will never under estimate the power of a community, if it wasn't for the HomeAgain posters, the search would have continued longer. Thank you for the services you offer.

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Verify that your contact information is correct and upload a recent picture of your missing dog, cat, or other pet.
  3. Create a Lost Pet poster using the uploaded photo.
  4. Send out Rapid Lost Pet Alerts to vet clinics, animal shelters, and PetRescuers within a 25-mile radius of where your pet was lost.

  1. Call 1-888-HOMEAGAIN (1-888-466-3242). Our Lost Pet Specialists are available 24/7.
  2. Explain the situation to your Lost Pet Specialist, who will create a Lost Pet poster using the most recent photo on your pet’s HomeAgain profile.
  3. Your Lost Pet Specialist will immediately send out Rapid Lost Pet Alerts to vet clinics, animal shelters, and PetRescuers within a 25-mile radius of where your pet was lost.
