Our Yorkie was taken over 13 months ago from our outside kennel during the night. We've prayed and prayed for him to get loose from who had him and/or to be scanned, the microchip read, and him to be returned to his family.
On Tuesday, January 17, 2012, we received a phone call from a woman in Cincinnati, Ohio area who had our Yorkie dropped off at her home after he was seen running the street in which she lives. The person thought it was one of her Yorkies who had gotten out. She knew it wasn't her dog so she scanned him to see if he had a microchip and contacted HomeAgain to see if this dog was reported missing, in which he was. She works for an animal rescue center and just so happened to have a scanner with her from the previous day of being at one of the pounds she works with in her area. She got our contact information and called our home phone and explained the whole story of how she had Reese and made plans with us that night to meet and pick him up.
God answered our prayers and we now have this amazing reunion story to share.
We only wish we could have had a reunion with both of our dogs missing. We also have another Yorkie that was taken along with Reese. He is not microchipped so our chances of recovering him are slim to none, but we are not giving up hope and will continue to pray that God will somehow work another amazing reunion story.
