Here’s a little back story on our Crinkles. Crinkles came to live with us in 2006 due to my neighbors getting a divorce and no one was taking care of him. Of course we are cat people so he found us. We all fell in love. My son loves Crinkles. In 2008 we went on vacation in November and came back and Crinkles was gone. It took me a week of posters and until someone saw it and said Crinkles was at the pound. Yep there he was. Immediately took him home and within the week had him microchipped.
Next November, we went on vacation again and came home but Crinkles was gone again. I put up posters again and checked the pound for months. Nothing! Animal lovers know how we felt. I have nightmares once in awhile because I always felt I let Crinkles down. Last month, the vet called and said that they had Crinkles, unbelievable! Crinkles was less than a 1/2 mile away, by my son’s school. I drove right by that cat for two years. The ladies that were taking care of him were unable to take care of him anymore. They said he was more of an alley cat and they were feeding it and made a nice little house out of a box for him. They took him to the vet because he had an ingrown nail and they wanted to see if they could surrender him to the vet. I met the ladies and they were very sweet and Crinkles was loved by them. I told my son what comes around goes around. The week before I caught a kitten at our shop and surrendered it to a local non-profit organization and we had also found a dead kitty in our neighborhood and took it to the vet so they could try to find their owners. We were rewarded! The last kicker, the Sunday before Crinkles returned, I called HomeAgain to update my other animals and told the gentleman "I guess you can cancel Crinkles, he's been missing for 2 years", he told me let’s keep it active. I am very thankful for that gentleman; truly if it wasn't for him and the great job he did we would have never received Crinkles back. Thank you HomeAgain for the great service you have provided to us and for making our family complete again.
